Yoga is a joyful and deep experience. A balanced yoga practice contains no pressure. The emphasis is on the development of everyone’s potential with consideration of one’s own abilities. A playful and caring attitude offers room for development. What matters is the compassion shown to ourselves and to our surroundings.

Quality, care + empathy

The goal of yoga is to develop one’s own perception in order to gain stability, strength, flexibility and space - not only during the yoga class but in daily life too.

My first encounter with yoga was in 1981 and I have been teaching now for over 20 years. In 2003 I achieved the international certification as an Iyengar®Yoga Teacher.

Stefanie clearly has many years of experience in dealing with different personalities, people’s abilities as well as their attitudes and perceptions of what yoga means to them. She is very attuned to the needs of the individual student and understands their physical and psychological limitations, often before the students themselves.» - Marie Clarke

Retreats in Switzerland

Join us for a weekend or week at selected places in Switzerland and Europe.

The retreats are held in German and English.
You will find information about upcoming events on the German site - please contact us for more information in English.

Stefanie’s yoga cannot only be physical, because it requires a lot of focus too, how to control your muscles and how to stay in the asana for a long time. It is a physical training as well as a mental exercise and helps to develop discipline and determination not only in Yoga but also in other aspects of life.» - Dubravka S.

For over 30 years my life has been deeply connected with Yoga. At first with a rather physically oriented yoga practice, which has developed with time into a deeper interest of its philosophic background.

Yoga happens - wherever you are

Yoga guides me through my life. It helps to keep me balanced and to be able to face daily challenges with empathy and serenity.

A balanced yoga practice contains no pressure - a playful and caring attitude offers space for development. What matters to me is compassion shown towards ourselves and our surroundings.

Stefanie is special in her way of teaching because she is really dedicated to students. For the first time I have the feeling that I am learning something not just copying what the teacher does.» - Dubravka S.

My students are my teachers. My daily encounters with yoga practitioners are a learning process for us all. New movements are waiting to be explored, old habits to be changed - for my students and for myself.

BKS Iyengar

BKS Iyengar was the founder of the style of yoga known as «Iyengar Yoga». It is a form of Hatha Yoga that emphasises detail, precision and alignment in the performance of posture and breathing control. The use of props such as belts, ropes and wooden blocks helps develop strength, mobility and stability.

The creator of modern yoga

Regular practice of Iyengar Yoga integrates the body, mind and emotions. There is no pressure in Yoga. All that counts is a gradual progression toward good health and inner freedom.

Yoga has no age limit, individual pace and possibilities are the foundation of personal growth, regardless of age, sex or religion. Iyengar Yoga is demanding and relaxing, active and passive, complex and simple. Everyone can choose how far one wants to go.

You have to create love and affection for your body, for what it can do for you. Love must be incarnated in the smallest pore of the skin, the smallest cell of the body, to make them intelligent so they can collaborate with all the other ones, in the big republic of the body. » BKS Iyengar
